Refund Policy
At Your Shears, we take great pride in working with our clients if and when refunds are needed. We follow the guidelines of each product's manufacturer refund policy which we have listed below.

Sensei Products
Sensei has a 14-day return policy, which means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a full return your item needs to be in fairly good condition. Shears which have been dropped and nicked or damaged in some other way will have a reconditioning cost based on the extent of the damage.
To start a return, you can contact us at steve@yourshears.com our call our number (715)703-3584. Please note that returns will need to be sent to our service center for inspection.
If your return is accepted, use the return shipping label for our service center its pre paid and addressed through the post office and we handle insuring your package.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. All our shears go through a quality control process but one thing that happens on shears is that the tension system will relax over time. If your shear arrives and seems to have issues as a first step double check the tension but then also call us and initiate a return. The longer you wait initiating a return the more likely it is we will have to charge some kind of service fee to get it back into sellable condition.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at steve@yourshears.com.

If you received damaged or defective merchandise, please contact us: (715)703-3584, or email us: steve@yourshears.com.
If you are not completely satisfied, you can return your item within 30 days of purchase date. Please follow the instructions below to return your item. The return shipping cost (the cost to send an item back to us) is nonrefundable.
- Your return item must be undamaged.
- You will receive a refund for the purchase price of the item plus applicable sales tax. We will credit the card that was used for the purchase.
- Shipping and handling charges will not be credited unless the reason for the return is our error.

Please allow up to 2 weeks for us to process your return and issue a credit.
Mizutani Shears
- A return and or an exchange is permitted within the first 15 days from date of the purchase.
- This Return and Exchange policy is limited to online purchases. Please contact us: (715)703-3584, or email us: steve@yourshears.com.
- Shears may be returned, but not damaged for any reason.
- To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it. The returning scissor box must include the following to quality for “same condition”:
*Original box
*Tension key in bag
*Manual for Mizutani Scissors
*Serial # card
***Be certain to send all items within the box with return. Any missing item listed herein will deem your return ineligible. This means you will not be able to return your item if you are missing components of original packaging. - Send back with your full name, email, and phone number in the package.
- Any other contents including scissor sleeve, comb, and oil cartridge must also be in its original packaging.
A restocking fee of $50.00USD will be applied for all shears returned.
